ABC Blog Hop

Welcome to the Everthing ABC hop. This time we are focusing on the letter O. You should of come from Jenny's blog. I decided on Ornament for my O. I choose to use my Sparkle and Shine complements that go with the Sparkle & Shine paper. Both are retired but I am trying to use up what I have before I buy new or at least make a dent in my stash. I encourage you to craft with something you have been hoarding. You have a few days left to get retiring items before the new catalog goes live on Aug 1. You can shop here.

Hello

I am playing with Close To My Heart papers and stamps. I got the layout from Dawn. She does kits each month. I accidently splilled my Liquid Glass on the sentiment so I just covered it all. I love the effect. It was a happy accident. The pink glitter paper is amazing.

Gear

I used Paper Temptress Hambly Screen prints cut to 6 inch squares. The words were stamped with Close To My Heart July Stamp of the Month. The gears are from Creative Embellishments that are wood veneer that I inked with Distress inks and sprays.

Bring Back The Nice Blog Hop

Hi Welcome to the Bring Back Nice Blog Hop. You should of just come from Jan's blog. This hop is to remind us to do something nice for someone. It can be a little thing or a big thing. There seems to be so much negativity in the world so we are trying to Bring Back the Nice.
I choose to use a soon to be retiring Close To My Heart papers. The stamp set is Hello Blooms. I stamped the flowers and then inked the edges. I will be sending this card to one of the person who comments along with some Close To My Heart goodies. I will draw a winner Tuesday, July 22.
Your next stop is Tenia's blog. She has an amazing project.

Craft Room

Ok, my craft room is finally to the point that I can share. This the view when you enter. The boxes are cards that need to find a new home.
This is the view from the right hand side of my craft room when sitting facing the window. I love the tool drawers that I use for my inks, paints, glues, etc.
This is a peek into the closet that holds more paper and other goodies.
Sorry this photo is blurry. This is my big shot wall along with my Ikea cart that has my Close To My Heart stamps. The spinning things hold buttons, ribbons, and other embellishments. They were found at Costco a couple years ago.
This view is my desk. I tried to take a photo of it clean but I forgot before I started creating. The curtains are left from when it was my son's room some day I will replace them.
This is too my left where you can see my Cricut and the boards with cards that I have recieved. Also, paper I tend to use most. Below the desk is a few drawer organizers and 2 file drawers holding Paper Temptress papers. I hope you are enjoying your summer. I have been busy with family and lately cutting and picking peaches to freeze.

MIA

Hi
I have been busy with family and re organizing my house. It is taking longer because I am trying to do 3 rooms at once. If anyone wants a mixture of craft supplies, I just ask you pay shipping. Or come to my house if you are close by.

Laughter

This card showcases Paper Temptress papers and Hambly screenprint. I used paint behind the cupcake. I used a Close To My heart embossing folder on the Crystal Metallic.

Lots of Love for Lauryn

Isn't this little girl just precious? Let me introduce you....
Lauryn was diagnosed with Leukemia on March 27, 2014. She is currently hospitalized in the DC area undergoing chemotherapy to fight this terrible disease.  Lauryn is Linda Payne's granddaughter...many of you in the stamping community probably already know sweet Linda!

As news of Lauryn's illness spread via social media, many of you have asked if there is anything you can do to help, so we have come up with a plan. We decided to have a Card Drive and would like to invite YOU to help by sending "happy mail" to Lauryn and her family.

Please create cards to share your love and encouragement for Lauryn and her family. Lauryn's parents are Josh and Elizabeth and she has two older siblings: Lily and Logan. We thank the Lord for this dear family and need to pray for them as they are seeking to glorify the Lord throughout this trial.

Cards can be mailed to:

Children's National
Hematology/Oncology RM 437
Lauryn Newsome
111 Michigan Ave NW
Washington DC 20010

You can find updates on Lauryn via a Facebook page that has been set up by some family. It is Fight on Little Lauryn. They have shared how encouraging it is receive a simple "like" on a Facebook status or words of love and encouragement that is posted.
Here is the fabulous group of bloggers who have joined us in promoting this Card Drive. We would love for you to hop with us as numerous bloggers have blog candy and all you need to do is leave a comment...
