Tool Time

When I saw this image and immediately thought of my son when he was younger. The image is from Phindy's Place. I dug around to find this pic of my son when he was about 4. He just loved helping his Daddy with chores. The base is Skinny Column Brown 12x12. The border with tools, journal box and title box are Brown Bag Kraft 12 x 12. I just love the texture of this paper. The DP is SU. I rubbed the edges of the papers with DI Corduroy Brown. The stripe DP is rubbed with ink to give it a more aged look. I figured out that my Curvy Cutter works much better on a glass cutting board. I just use the back side that is smooth. The tools are from Clear Dollar Stamps.

KSS & PT

Good morning! Wahoo! Paper Temptress and Kitchen Sink Stamps are partnering up for a St. Patty's day celebration. The celebration started Sat, Mar 13 and runs to Fri, Mar 19. Each day you will get a part of a phrase. Once you have all the pieces, email Patricia (patricia@papertemptress.com). You will have a chance to win Multi Step Shamrock & Clover, Memento Cottage Ivy & Pear Tart inks and St. Patty's KSS Green Paper Package. Now let the fun begin.
(Click on picture to make it larger)
My first card uses Sparkle Blanc as a base. I love the sparkle of this paper. The shamrocks were stamped using Brilliance Pearlescent Lime, Distress Ink Shabby Shutters and Distress Ink Peeled Paint. The saying is stamped on Spring Green Classic Columns. The ribbon is SU.

My second project is this cute little box that is filled with gold coins. I wanted to show how wonderfully the Vintage Silver Lustre takes ink. The pot is rubbed with SU Basic Black ink. The rainbow is Vintage Silver Lustre colored with different inks. The base is Heavenly White that I put on a coaster for strength. I chalked the background and the grass is Flower Soft and flocking. The coins in the pot are 1/2" circles cut out of Gold Pearl Linen. I cased a card I saw but can't remember where.

Here is the back side. The base is Heavenly White stamped with clovers using DI Peeled Paint, DI Shabby Shutters & Brilliance Pearlescent Lime. The center is Spring Green Classic Columns.

I have no phrase. Just head over to Trudy's blog to get your words and see her amazing project. Check back on St. Patrick's Day and I will have a project showing using the stamps in a different way.
